YESTERDAY WAS A GREAT RIDE; HYDE TO LIVERPOOL AND BACK

esterday saw a group of Round Table chaps, including yours truly don the Lycra and head to Liverpool. Myself and two others met at the Village at Hyde and then cycled to Manchester Victoria, to then meet up with the others, and off we went to Liverpool. This is where the physical fun starts… A very strong head wind and cold temperatures made the ride hard, very hard, and the motley crew made it to Liverpool. But we saw a change in the weather and after a pit stop in Costa Coffee at the Albert Dock were refreshed.

And off we set. But what a ride back, the sun was out, we had a tail wind, and the East Lancs Road is easier on the rider going from Liverpool to Manchester.

89.54 miles according to my Cyclemeter app on the iPhone 5. Very pleased with myself, as I did consider getting a train back when in Liverpool. It was tough, but has put me on the road to getting fit again.
