A GREAT WEEKEND OF WALKING

The Bank Holiday weekend just gone saw some great walking, and with good company and banter.

Sunday saw a nice walk up to Bleaklow from Old Glossop and back again, taking in the Pennine Way and Doctor’s Gate. Whilst there was rain and drizzle, the views were spectacular and the walk over 12 miles:

Then on Monday was a great walk from Hathersage to Stanage Edge and back, with Claire and Ted the dog. Again, great views, and a lovely day:

The walk was not quite 9 miles, but finished with a very satisfactory pint in The Little John Inn in Hathersage, followed by a salmon dinner cooked by yours truly in the Batcave.
